On Saturday 15 September 2007 Stoke Speaks Out won the Early Years Educator 2007 'Team of the Year' award.
This prestigious award recognises Stoke Speaks Out's multi-agency team and the work they do in Stoke-on-Trent to improve children's attachment and communication.

Stoke Speaks Out was nominated for three awards at the second annual North Staffordshire Regeneration Zone RISE Awards: Impact on Learning, Impact on Communities and Outstanding Achievement.
Unfortunately, Stoke Speaks Out did not win but WELL DONE and better luck next year!
Stoke Speaks Out is celebrating the work of practitioners who have improved their practice and helped chidlren's communication and attachement.
The event is being held on Wedenesday 28 March 2007 at Port Vale Football Club and is FREE.

ICAN launch their "Make Chatter Matter" DVD. Stoke Speaks Out worked with ICAN and BT to help produce this DVD. Parents from Stoke-on-Trent feature on the DVD and Janet Cooper, Stoke Speaks Out Project Lead, offers expert support and advice.
It was produced by British Telecom and ICAN. It aims to help parents support their children's communication development.

Talking point is the website run by I CAN working with RCSLT and Afasic
and have a national database of information about communication development
and disability. Talking Point run conferences through the year and
publishes papers that contain information of relevance to communication
development and disability.
Faith Hobson from Stoke Speaks Out spoke
at the I CAN conference in April and she and Michael Convey produced
an article that has been published on the Talking Point website.

Stoke-on-Trent Parent Direct Service is launching on Saturday 29 April 2006 in the Potteries Shopping Centre, Hanley. Visit the stand (opposite Adams' childrens clothing store) to find out more about Parent Direct.
