He loves football, but is not interested in any other sport. He is good at Maths at school, but does not like writing. Does not read books, but likes ‘Match’ magazine.

He enjoys making things, and particularly liked making a miniature air raid shelter out of a shoe box, when his class were studying World War 2.

He does not like his current teacher – she is always going on about SATs. He does not care about SATs, can’t see the point. She moved him away from his best friend, and he now sits beside a girl who annoys him as she is always sharpening her pencils, but will not lend him her pencil sharpener. She said that he should get his own. He then got into trouble after trying to snatch it off her.

His best friend is Ali, a Pakistani boy aged 11. He likes playing football with Ali after school, but this is often difficult as he has to wait for Ali to return from the Mosque, and then Claire calls him in for his tea.
